Departure from Euston Station

Arrive at Euston Station by 8am with your train e-tickets for your outbound and inbound rail journeys. Your train will depart at 8:30am and arrive at Oxenholme Station at 11:08am. A tour guide will be waiting for you outside the station.

For added comfort and to have refreshments and food served at your seat, you can choose to upgrade your rail trip to first class.

Admire the beautiful scenery of the Lake District as you wander the cobbled streets of Hawkshead, a charming medieval village. Lined with stone houses, old arches, and 17th-century inns, take in the dramatic landscapes as you explore. Overlooking the village on a hill, you can also find St Michael and All Angels Church, which has been there since the 16th century.

Enjoy a cruise along the largest lake in England, Lake Windermere. Sit back and become mesmerised by the stunning views from the lake as you pass by mountains, small villages, and the lake’s 18 islands.

Then, we’ll head towards the manmade Tarn Hows, one of the most photographed locations in the Lake District. See why this gorgeous location has been the inspiration for many artists and writers, including Beatrix Potter, who purchased Tarn Hows and Monk Coniston estate for conservation purposes. On a clear day, you can see the Langdale Pikes, a favoured adventure for walkers.

Enjoy a delicious British cream tea at the family home of Beatrix Potter. A classic Lakeland country house hotel in Bowness, Lindeth Howe is set in 6 acres of its own private garden. Tuck into scones with clotted cream and jam in this beautiful setting.

Visit Hill Top Farm in Near Sawrey, purchased by Beatrix Potter in 1905 with the royalties from her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit. At the time of purchase, Hill Top Farm was a working farm, and it remained so throughout her lifetime. It continues to operate as a working farm today.
